DENTAL HYGIENIST (PART-TIME)
Payton Cosmetic & Family Dentistry is a privately owned patient-centered practice committed to providing exceptional dental care and building lasting relationships with our patients. We're open to both experienced hygienists and new graduates who are excited to learn, collaborate, and grow within a supportive, team-focused practice. In this energetic role, you will provide preventive dental services, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar, and perio maintenance.
* Perform initial oral health assessments and review patient histories.
* Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive materials
* Recognize and assess conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis.
* Expose digital dental X-rays with the Dexis computer
* Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, including charting, and periodontal measurements
* Document patient findings and procedures in the electronic health record (EHR)
* Review medical records for completeness and accuracy prior to procedures
* Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique
* Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques.
* Assist in diagnosing and planning treatments using imaging.
* Maintain accurate, detailed patient records.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
* Certification in dental hygiene from an accredited program is required
* Registered Dental Hygienist with a license in SC (Required)
* Familiarity with dental imaging systems and vital signs monitoring is desirable
* Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology

SALARY: From $45 - $50 per hour
