Dental Hygienist @Payton Cosmetic & Family Dentistry

We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our family dental practice in Aiken, SC. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting dental health by performing prophylaxis and oral cancer screenings. This role offers a hygienist the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on improving patients' oral health and comfort. Flexible Schedule for Full-time, Part-time, or Temporary.

PAY RANGE: $45.00 - $55.00/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
* Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive materials.
* Expose digital dental X-rays with the Dexis computer
* Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, including charting, and periodontal measurements
* Document patient findings and procedures in the electronic health record (EHR)
* Review medical records for completeness and accuracy prior to procedures
* Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
* Certification in dental hygiene from an accredited program is required
* Registered Dental Hygienist with a license in SC (Required)

EXPERIENCE
* Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge
* Familiarity with dental imaging systems and vital signs monitoring is desirable
* Prior experience in general dentistry or dental assisting roles will be beneficial
* Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
