Buncombe County Digest is a fast-growing local media brand highlighting the best businesses, events, restaurants, and things happening around Asheville and the surrounding areas.

We're looking for a community-oriented, outgoing, and creative person to help grow our local presence, build relationships with businesses, and support sponsorship partnerships.

This is a flexible commission-based role with strong upside, ideal for someone connected locally who enjoys networking, community, social media, and small businesses.

What You'll Help With:
- Building relationships with local businesses
- Reaching out to restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, med spas, fitness studios, and events for sponsorship opportunities
- Helping grow local business partnerships and advertisers
- Assisting with social media content ideas and community engagement
- Attending local events and helping expand local visibility
- Supporting audience and newsletter growth initiatives
- Identifying trending local businesses, openings, and community happenings
- Helping brainstorm creative collaborations and partnerships

Ideal Candidate:
- Friendly, outgoing, and community-oriented
- Comfortable talking with local business owners
- Interested in social media, marketing, media, or community growth
- Organized and self-motivated
- Familiar with Buncombe County local culture
- Bonus if you already have connections with local businesses or events
