About Our Family:
We are a family in North Barrington with one child, a sweet and active 15-month-old boy. We're looking for a reliable part-time nanny who enjoys spending time with toddlers and is interested in building a longer-term relationship with our family.
This role is ideal for a college student (education, nursing, child development, psychology, or similar), a commuter student, or someone in a hybrid/online program who wants consistent weekday hours. There could be some flexibility in hours and days.

Ideal Schedule (though can be flexible)
Monday-Thursday
Approximately 8:00am-12:00pm (right now 11-3pm is ideal but when he switches to one nap (8-12 is ideal)
12-16 hours per week

Pay:
$22-26 per hour, depending on experience
Paid legally (W2 household employee)

What You'll Be Doing:
One-on-one care for our toddler in our home
Age-appropriate play (indoor and outdoor)
Snacks / simple meals for our child
Supporting his pre-nap routine
Supporting his pre-nap routine
During nap time, once child-related tasks are complete, helping with light household tasks such as unloading the dishwasher, wiping kitchen counters or table surfaces, tidying common areas, or light organizing
No heavy cleaning, deep housework, or full-house chores are expected.

Experience We're Looking For:
Prior independent experience caring for toddlers (babysitting or nannying)
Babysitting absolutely counts, especially if you worked with the same family over time
Comfortable being the primary caregiver during your shift
Safety-focused, attentive, calm, and playful
