After-school Babysitting near AU @Claudia Fennell

Hi! We are looking for a caring, energetic and strong babysitter for our sweet-tempered 11yo girl with disabilities who needs physical support such as feeding, administration of medication, bathing, stroller walks, assistance walking and navigating the house, etc. We have three children and this would be to support our youngest after she returns via bus from her MCPS Special Education school (starting at 3:30pm) - she has two older siblings in high school, in and out of the house in the afternoons for activities. * We are in Bethesda, Maryland near American University and are looking for someone who lives or attends school nearby. Unfortunately traffic in DC makes lengthy commutes very unpredictable for caregivers!*

I am a stay at home mom and available to train and support a caregiver, however any experience with g-tube feeding, OT or PT activities, eldercare-type support, and medical equipment such as AFOs, wheelchairs, or seating transfers a plus, but not necessary. MUST have own transportation (lots of easy parking around our house - no ride share access, and Ubers and buses are unreliable), be familiar with the operation of iPads and smart TVs, and be able to lift, carry, and maneuver.

Looking for Tues/Wed/Fri 3:30-7:30pm, $25/hr.

While this sounds fairly medical, anyone with interest in supporting a child with disabilities to maintain quality of life and overall health can learn!
