We are seeking 3-4 compassionate, reliable caregivers to share the care schedule for our 33-year-old daughter, who has Down syndrome and is recovering from a stroke. Because of the number of care hours needed each week, we are building a team of caregivers rather than hiring just one person

Our daughter is mobile with walking aids (cane, walker, rolling walker). She is easy going and quiet. The scope of care may include any of these but usually not all at the same time :) :

- Assistance with personal cares (shower, some toileting)
- Companion care (engaging in activities like playing a game)
- Occasionally drive her one way to social activities.
- Laundry, including washing sheets and making her bed
- Simple meal prep (mostly heating things in microwave) and clean up
- Run dishwasher and empty it
- Vaccuuming and dusting her living area

Qualifications:
- Caring
- Reliable
- Willing to be paid through IRIS subsidized with private pay
- General hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - 5:30-8:30
Wednesday - 4:30-8:30
Two Fridays a month - 5:30-8:30
Two Saturdays a month - 5:00-9:00

This position is funded through a combination of the Wisconsin IRIS long-term care program and private pay. We are looking for caregivers who are comfortable being paid through the IRIS program (including completing the required enrollment process) as well as through private pay.
