Kennel Assistant @Hudson Valley Dog Farm

We are looking for a dependable, hard-working Kennel Assistant who genuinely enjoys working with dogs and understands that excellent dog care requires much more than simply playing with dogs.

This is primarily a part-time position but could include more hours during busy times. $18-$21/hour

Responsibilities
Cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces
Feeding and watering dogs
Monitoring dogs for health, safety, and behavior concerns
Supervising play groups
Assisting with daily care routines
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment
Following established procedures and safety protocols
Assisting with facility maintenance and other physical tasks as needed

What We're Looking For
The right candidate is:
Reliable and consistently on time
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and being on their feet for extended periods
Not afraid of hard work, cleaning, or getting dirty
Observant and able to notice when something isn't right
Calm, patient, and respectful with both dogs and people
Able to follow directions and work independently
Comfortable handling friendly dogs of various sizes and breeds
Safety-minded with good judgment and common sense

What Matters Most
You do not need extensive dog experience to apply.
We can teach our systems and procedures.
What we cannot teach is reliability, common sense, a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to caring for dogs safely.
