Intern With Lekha Ink
Do you enjoy working with children? Do you have a flair for writing? Would you like to inspire younger children to write as well as you? Lekha Writing Center is looking for interns in our popular writing camps during the summer in and around the Bay Area. This year, we are looking for interns in the Fremont, Pleasanton, and San Ramon areas.
The Ideal Intern
The ideal intern is a college student majoring in Humanities or in the creative arts. They must be good writers and storytellers and should enjoy spending time with children. Interns may either aid the lead instructor at a campsite or teach a small class on their own.
The Intern Will
Assist the lead instructor as required to guide students in the Lekha Way, using Lekha curriculum provided.
Intern will encourage every child to write a piece which will be included in Adventures of Imagination anthologies and /or Young Wordsmiths magazine.
The Lekha Intern is responsible for the students' safety during class time, break time, and lunch time.
If necessary, the intern may need to stay onsite for purposes of extended care. Additional compensation will be provided for extended care.
Hiring: Immediately
Salary: $17:00 - 19:00 per hour
