Children's Education and Ministry Coordinator @First Presbyterian Church of Gardner KS

Summary: Children's Education and Ministry Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of FPC Gardner's Children's Sunday School program, which serves Preschool through 8th grade. This role supports the church's mission by fostering a welcoming, faith-centered learning environment for children and families.

Responsibilities: Sunday School Oversight - plan & manage weekly Sunday School programming, collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure age-appropriate, values-aligned lessons are prepared and monitor & support staffing needs; serve as a substitute leader when necessary. Teacher & Family

Communication - serve as liaison between teachers & parents/grandparents and maintain consistent communication about schedules, events & participation.

Event Coordination - work with Session to plan weekly summer events while Sunday School is on break and help organize annual ministry events, including Trunk or Treat.

Program Development & Leadership - collaborate with Session to grow and improve the Children's Ministry and serve as a standing member of the Discipleship Pillar.
