Full-Time Summer Nanny @Family
Description
A warm and active family in West University is seeking a FULL-TIME Summer NANNY to care for our two children this summer: a 12-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and engaging caregiver who can be a steady, positive presence in their busy household.
Our daughter will be entering 7th grade and is a competitive horseback rider who travels frequently for competitions. Our son will be entering 2nd grade and has ADHD. He is bright, sensitive, and very active, and thrives with a caregiver who is both loving and firm.
We would love a nanny who is active, engaging, and enjoys spending time with children. Someone who encourages movement, outdoor time, and positive engagement will thrive in this role. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, friendly, and someone children naturally enjoy being around. Stability and a calm, confident presence are very important to the family. An ability to travel with the family is a plus as we have several trips planned. The nanny will be paid for these trips in addition to all expenses being paid.
We are looking to employ someone approximately 40 hours per week, and the schedule can be somewhat flexible for the right candidate.
Additional responsibilities include driving the children to and from camps and activities using the family car, coordinating and managing the children's schedules, organizing play dates and activities for the younger child.
We maintain a relaxed and respectful work-from-home environment. Dad works from home part time, and Mom is a stay-at-home parent. The nanny must be comfortable working in a home where parents may be present but are not micromanaging and are typically focused on their own responsibilities. The nanny will often work collaboratively with Mom to ensure the children's schedules run smoothly.
The family has a full household that includes three dogs and three cats. While the family has dog walkers and daycare in place, the nanny should be comfortable around pets and willing to help occasionally if needed. The home is well supported with twice-weekly housekeepers and a dedicated laundry professional. A car will be provided for all driving related to the children.
We are seeking someone dependable, proactive, warm and fun who will become a trusted and positive presence in their home. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and be comfortable in an active household and able to swim. Experience working with children with ADHD or neurodivergent children is a plus. Start date is negotiable, ideally mid-May through mid-August. Compensation is $30 - $32.00 an hour.
