Companion for 72 yr old Senior @Mike Garr

I am a POA surrogate for my dear friend, Larry. He had a very severe stroke two months ago and paralyzed on his left side with a lot of cognitive issues. Prior to the stroke, this man was a very active and social individual, a small engine pilot and stock trader who spent years in the corporate world before retiring. He is funny and interesting to talk to but he does have confusion mixed with reality right now. He will be going through some very intensive rehabilitation over the next several months and I am three states away in NC. I cannot figure out who his local friend circle was yet. So, here is what I am looking for:
Someone who is great at social interaction, friendship, and companionship for Larry. Ideally, I'm looking for people who can do hours in the evening. The later the better but we need to figure out the right hours. I'm flexible. He isn't acclimated yet at HarborChase Villages Crossing Assisted Living and he is up all night right now. I feel like his biggest problem is he needs someone to talk to about whatever.
