Wide River Winery is the 6th largest winery in Iowa, producing and selling about 85,000
bottles per year. Located on a bluff overlooking the widest point of the Mississippi River, this opportunity is working primarily at our tasting rooms located in LeClaire, IA.

POSITION: Tasting room sales professional
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a part-time Tasting Room sales professional at Wide River Winery, you will play a
pivotal role as the initial point of contact for our valued customers. Your responsibilities
will include ensuring that their visit is not just enjoyable but memorable. Key tasks
involve greeting customers, expertly pouring wine, and providing insightful information
about our wines and winery. Moreover, you will uphold the cleanliness and organization
of the tasting room while efficiently handling customer transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Greets customers, runs the register, pours tastes of wine for customers and
assembles items from small bites menu
* Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and team members
* Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
* Experience in a casual or upscale dining or retail sales preferred
* Experience in wine environment a plus
* Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills
* Hard-working, team player
* Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs
* Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for extended periods
* Ensure customers are of legal age to consume alcohol
* Additional duties as assigned

Available to work weekdays and weekends (minimum 3 days per week)
Must be 18+ years old
Compensation and benefits
$10 per hour + tips/gratuities
Generous employee discount on wine (must be 21)
