Retail Sales Associate @Los Altos Hardware

Los Altos Hardware has served Los Altos and the surrounding communities for over 40 years. We are looking for hardworking Sales Associates to join our team! Sales Associates provide friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assist with their hardware needs.

Part-time and Full-time opportunities available. Weekends required.

- Great customer service skills and a positive demeanor, making customers the first priority
- Great verbal and listening communication skills, Bilingual highly encouraged!
- Ability to work on your feet (standing and walking) for long periods of time
- Bending, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items
- Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise when necessary
- Lifting/handling/carrying materials or equipment of weight between 10-60 pounds
- Continually build product knowledge of inventory to be able to answer customer
- Explain the steps needed to complete projects and products needed
- Maintain in-stock items in the store as well as replacing overstock items
- Assist with all store inventory in each department
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred but not required
- Able to utilize POS systems for efficient transaction processing
- Ensure the store is always kept clean, organized, and all products are easily accessible to customers.
