Seeking Personal Assistant: Household & Professional (Jefferson Park / W. Adams) @J Stephens Consulting LLC

Professional couple in Jefferson Park seeks trustworthy, multitalented assistant for household tasks and light assistance with work projects related to journalism, education, and public policy.

We would like an assistant to join us at our home one day per week (5-6 hours) to assist with a range of tasks. Domestically, this may include running errands; scheduling housework (e.g. gardeners); walking the dog; light gardening (watering plants); organization (pantry; paperwork); making appointments (restaurants, doctors); light kitchen work; and ironing and folding laundry. (No cleaning, food preparation, or childcare.)

Professionally, we both are involved in a combination of journalism, education, media, and research. Both of us are established in our fields and active in various professional circles, including entertainment and urban planning. As well, we have several side-projects, including entrepreneurial ventures and membership on nonprofit boards.

We are seeking an undergraduate or early-career college graduate who is willing to help with the household tasks but eager to contribute to and learn from the professional tasks.

Must have your own means of transportation (a car may be necessary for errands) and own laptop that you are willing to bring on-site. Mileage covered while on the job.

Most communication will be via email, with spontaneous tasks assigned each week in addition to regular weekly items and longer-term projects.
