Off The Hook by J&R Seafood is known for serving fresh, high-quality seafood in a fast-paced and energetic environment. We're looking for an experienced Line Chef who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of a team committed to excellence.
This is a year-round position with opportunities for growth. We are looking for someone interested in building a long-term career, not just filling a seasonal role.
Position Overview
The Line Chef is responsible for executing menu items with consistency, maintaining a clean and organized station, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing great food.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and cook menu items according to company standards
-Set up and maintain a clean, organized workstation
-Follow recipes and portion standards consistently
-Assist with prep work and daily kitchen tasks
-Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
-Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during service
-Help ensure ticket times and quality standards are met
-Support inventory organization and product rotation
Qualifications:
-Previous line cook or chef experience required
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
-Strong attention to detail
-Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
-Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
-Positive attitude and team-first mentality
