Summer Home Family Assistant @Private Family

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated college student with a positive attitude and a valid driver's license for a Family Assistant/Summer Help position in New Buffalo, Michigan. Weekends are mandatory (with Tuesday and Wednesday off), and the position requires approximately 40 hours per week to assist with household, pool, and beach responsibilities. Applicants should be comfortable working around older children, dogs, and live within a commutable distance from New Buffalo. The position starts before Memorial Day and ends around Labor Day.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

BEACH:
Set up and take down chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels
Clean and maintain the grill, picnic area, shuffleboard court, beach house, and stairs to the house, etc.

POOL:
Uncover the pool and furniture, set up umbrellas, and skim the pool
Clean and maintain towels, pool deck, terrace, pool cover, grill, tables, window ledges, etc.
Water plants
Cover the pool and furniture, close umbrellas

WATSON (Pet Labrador):
Brush daily outside and walk daily
Feed twice a day and pick up after the dog

MISCELLANEOUS:
Unload the dishwasher, take out trash, and maintain the terrace (water flowers and trees, sweep, uncover/cover chairs)
Wash and keep boat towels supplied in the garage
Run errands, including grocery shopping, lunch, and dinner pickups as needed
Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required

Experience:
Previous experience working in a summer environment (pool, beach, lake home) is preferred
Previous experience working with older children and dogs is preferred
Familiarity with household daily tasks at a lake home is a plus
