After School Sitter - Greenwich Village @The Meyers Family

We are looking for a reliable, energetic babysitter to support our family in the afternoons, primarily caring for our 4.5-year-old daughter. The role will supplement our full-time nanny, with occasional help for our 2.5-year-old and 3-month-old (a parent or nanny will always be present if more than one child is involved). We live in Greenwich Village.

Schedule & Compensation:
-Monday-Thursday: 2:00-7:00 pm
-Friday: 2:00- 6:00pm
-Occasional evening coverage, if available
-$25/hour

Responsibilities
-Helping with early learning, including reading and simple speech therapy exercises/homework
-Planning and supervising age-appropriate activities, both at home and outside (library, park, classes, playdates, etc.)
-School pick-up in the West Village
-Escorting our daughter to after-school activities (requires comfort using public transit and walking around the city)
-Coordinating and supervising playdates
-Supporting smooth transitions between school, activities, and home routines
-Occasional support with younger siblings

Qualifications:
-Prior experience with preschool-aged children (experience with multiple children a plus)
-Warm, energetic, and reliable
-Comfortable navigating NYC by subway and on foot with a child
-Strong communication skills with both children and adults
-Up to date on CPR/first aid training (preferred, but not required)
