Vocalist - Soprano/Alto parts @SIngers United

We're seeking a gifted Soprano vocalist to serve in a church gospel choir, leading and blending within the soprano section to support dynamic, Spirit-led worship. The ideal candidate brings strong pitch, blend, and stylistic authenticity in contemporary and traditional gospel.

Responsibilities

-Sing soprano/alto lead and harmonies with excellent intonation, diction, and blend.
-Attend and participate in all scheduled rehearsals (Thurs 6:30-7:30 PM) and Sunday call/service (9:30 -11:30 AM).
-Learn music in advance; rehearse efficiently; follow music/MD direction.
-Support musical excellence: phrasing, dynamics, cue awareness, and ensemble balance.
-Model positive stage presence and congregational engagement.
-Communicate proactively about availability; uphold punctuality and professionalism.

Qualifications

-Proven gospel/choral experience (church or professional).
-Confident soprano range with sustained head-voice and controlled mix.
-Strong ear; ability to learn parts from demos/tracks and/or notation.
-Team player-humble, teachable, and responsive to feedback.
-Commitment to a Christ-centered worship environment and dependable attendance.

Time Commitment

-Weekly: 3-5 hours (Thurs rehearsal + Sunday call/service).
-Occasional special services (holidays/revivals) with advance notice.

Compensation:

-$75 - $150 weekly - Paid Weekly

Audition Process

-Submit: brief bio, phone/email, and 1-2 recent vocal samples (links or files).
-Live audition: sing a gospel hymn and an up-tempo contemporary gospel selection; short harmony/blend test.
-Quick interview with Music Director; reference check as needed.
