Our company, Short Term Rental Insights, is looking for a videographer who is excited to join our consulting and data company that covers the emerging vacation rental market. We provide short term rental investors with analytical insights into the vacation rental market so they can find the best return on investment.
As you review the description, we welcome any questions you may have about the position or the team. The position is part time with plenty of projects to complete. We are looking for someone who wants to help grow a tech startup company through content editing and filming.
We don't expect you to be a real estate investor or know much about investing in short-term rentals for this job.
Position Overview
Your role will be to film and edit short or long form videos of our team at our location in Raleigh, NC. We are wanting to film courses, YouTube videos, and other content management that will help our target client learn more about our products and the industry. You will film onsite but can edit where ever you'd like. Some weeks will have more filming than others while other weeks will be more planning or editing. A normal work month will be once or twice a month full film days with the about 10 hours of editing a week depending on the tasks.
The work hours are flexible so we can film at pre-determined times of the day or evening depending on the week and your schedule. Because we aren't making movies or other technical films, this job is perfect for either an undergraduate or graduate with some experience.

We should be covered on the studio and lighting but will need to rely on your camera and other recording equipment. You must have and use your own camera and we are looking for a camera in the 24-35mm range with a f stop (aperture) lower than 2.8 that can shoot 4k if possible. We are happy to discuss any equipment needs outside of the camera if necessary.

Pay
Depending on your experience, editing hourly rate may vary. The base rate is $25/hour but is negotiable. Film days are a flat fee that we will work out together.
