Part-Time STEM Program Instructor / Maker Space Coordinator @Montessori by the Sea

Montessori by the Sea is seeking a creative and organized part-time STEM Instructor to launch and teach a new hands-on STEM program for grades 4-6. The program will serve 30 students in three small groups of 10 and will focus on robotics, coding, engineering challenges, design thinking, collaboration, and project-based learning. (About 5-6 hours a week.)

The instructor will design and lead engaging STEM activities using materials such as LEGO Computer Science & AI kits, simple circuits, cardboard prototyping tools, sewing materials, glue guns, recycled materials, craft supplies, and engineering materials. Projects may include bridges, Rube Goldberg machines, battery-operated signs, mini vehicles, LED designs, sewing projects, and coded robots.

The ideal candidate has experience working with children, enjoys hands-on learning, and is comfortable helping students build, test, improve, and share their ideas. Experience with STEM, robotics, coding, maker spaces, Montessori education, or project-based learning is preferred.

Must be able to pass required background checks. Schedule and compensation to be determined based on program needs and candidate experience.
