Position Description:

Camp Old Indian is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to serve on our Climbing and Rappelling tower and Whitewater rafting experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire and mentor youth while engaging in exciting outdoor adventures.

Responsibilities:
- Obtain a Cope Director Certification from Scouting America National Camp School (Weeklong training paid for by the Council)
- Develop program for the Meadow Adventure (zipline and climbing/rappelling tower)
- Train Adventure staff to level 1 climbing instructor during prior to camp opening on June 8th
- Lead and instruct climbing and rappelling activities at the tower.
- Ensure the safety of all participants through strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide positive role modeling and mentorship to youth participants.
- Facilitate team-building exercises and foster a cooperative environment.
- Conduct pre-activity briefings and post-activity debriefings to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain equipment and ensure its proper use during activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or Program Director.

Position Requirements:

- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage groups effectively.
- Experience in team building and youth development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse groups.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- A commitment to Scouting values and principles.

Preferred Experience:

- Previous experience as a camp counselor or instructo
