Overview
This role provides direct support to a business owner overseeing multiple companies, commercial assets, private property, and special projects. The position works closely with leadership to assist with property oversight, operational coordination, administrative support, personal assistance, and project execution.
This is a highly dynamic role with responsibilities that may range from executive support and professional personal assistance to commercial property coordination, vendor follow up, special event support, and assistance with a private farm and hunting preserve.
No two days are the same. The position offers broad exposure to multiple areas of business, property, hospitality, and asset management.
This is not a traditional desk only assistant role. The right person will be comfortable moving between office work, vendor coordination, property visits, errands, event planning, follow up calls, and occasional outdoor or hands on tasks.
Most work will be based at company headquarters or in the immediate Tyler, TX area. The private farm and hunting preserve is approximately one hour from Tyler and will typically require visits about once per week. Some commercial properties and projects are located outside the Tyler area, including the DFW area, which may require travel approximately once per month.
This is a growth oriented role ideal for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, trustworthy, and eager to learn. Over time, this role is expected to expand in responsibility, with corresponding increases in compensation and opportunities for advancement within the organization.
Flexible scheduling may be available for school, family, or other scheduling needs.
Key Responsibilities
Property and Asset Support
- Assist with the management and maintenance of company owned commercial properties
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, inspections, and service work
- Support oversight of the corporate office, including upkeep and service scheduling
- Visit properties as needed to inspect conditions, meet vendors, or follow up on projects
- Assist with specialty property operations, including contractor coordination and equipment oversight
- Help track open property issues and make sure follow up items are completed
- Support property and project needs in Tyler, at the farm, and occasionally in other Texas markets, including DFW
Administrative and Operational Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to leadership
- Coordinate communication between vendors, contractors, internal teams, and outside partners
- Assist with purchasing supplies, materials, equipment, and other needed items
- Support ongoing projects with scheduling, tracking, follow up, and documentation
- Handle professional personal assistance tasks for the owner as needed, such as scheduling, errands, reservations, document coordination, and follow up items
- Help the owner stay organized, prepared, on schedule, and ready for meetings, appointments, and daily responsibilities
Farm, Hunting Preserve, and Event Support
- Assist with coordination and support for a private 1,200 acre pine plantation and hunting preserve located approximately one hour from Tyler
- Help with various property and operational tasks that do not fit neatly within the roles of contractors, farmers, vendors, or other service providers
- Coordinate with outside workers, vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed
- Visit the farm approximately once per week, depending on property needs, projects, and events
- Support planning and organization for 3 to 4 major hunting weekends each year, typically between September and December
- Assist with guest lists, invitations, lodging details, meals, supplies, schedules, property preparation, and event logistics
- Be available during major hunting weekends, which typically begin Thursday morning and conclude Sunday around noon
- Help serve and support guests during hunting weekends in a professional and hospitable manner
- Must be comfortable working around lawful hunting activities, firearms in a controlled hunting environment, harvested deer, and animal processing associated with guest hunting weekends
General Operations
- Act as a flexible problem solver for day to day operational needs
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability
- Support both office based and field based responsibilities
- Assist with occasional outdoor or hands on tasks as needed
- Take initiative while also being willing to ask questions and follow direction

Requirements
- High school diploma required
- College coursework, current enrollment, or equivalent work experience preferred

- Willingness and ability to travel locally and regionally as required
- Reliable transportation with valid insurance
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, work outdoors, and safely climb ladders when needed
- Ability to occasionally lift or move light supplies or equipment, such as 25 to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working around private property, rural land, hunting activities, firearms, harvested animals, and outdoor conditions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding business, financial, property, guest, personal, and medical information
- Employment is subject to successful completion of a background check, consistent with applicable law

Compensation
- Part time during an initial 3 month probation period, with approximately 20 hours per week expected
- Additional hours may be available during the probation period, potentially up to 40 hours or more per week, depending on candidate availability, job needs, special projects, and events
- Starting pay during the probation period is $20 per hour
- After successful completion of the probation period, the role is expected to transition to a full time salaried position, based on performance, fit, and business needs
- After approximately 6 months of successful performance, the role will be eligible for a salary increase
- Compensation increases will be based on performance, reliability, expanded responsibilities, judgment, and overall fit for the role
Additional Expectations

- Occasional physical work and outdoor tasks will be required
- Some evening, weekend, extended hour, and overnight event availability will be required during major events or special projects
