What You'll Learn
- Patient care: Gain experience with patient intake and communication.
- Medical documentation: Develop medical scribing skills and learn ophthalmic terminology.
- Medical coding: Build familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Diagnostic technology: Learn about visual field testing (HVF), optical coherence tomography (OCT), IOL Master measurements, and fundus photography.
- Teamwork: Build communication and professional skills alongside an experienced eye care team.
Who Should Apply
We welcome senior undergraduates, gap-year graduates, and graduate students pursuing medicine, ophthalmology, science, optometry, healthcare administration, or related fields. Students and recent graduates in ophthalmic technician and medical assistant programs are also encouraged to apply.
