FAMILY ASSISTANT / NANNY / HOUSEHOLD MANAGER (College of Marin & Dominican Students; 30 hours/week) @Llewellyn Household

Busy and cohesive two household family (Mill Valley & Sausalito) seeks an outgoing, kind-hearted, self-starter to fill FAMILY ASSISTANT / NANNY / HOUSEHOLD MANAGER full time role. We need someone based in Southern Marin.

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Mill Valley (downtown/Boyle Park) & Sausalito (Spencer Ave/Upper Sausalito)

Children: 10 (B) & 12 (G)

Salary: $35-$38/hr depending on experience, with opportunity to increase over time. Annual bonus.

Vehicle & gas: 2026 Toyota Rav4 provided for you to drive while working and locally on personal time. Two tanks of gas per month provided (if working mileage exceeds two tanks/month, additional gas will be reimbursed).

Vacation: 4-6 weeks paid/year. We travel often with the kids, so typically give 1-2 weeks off over Christmas, 1-2 separate weeks during spring, and 2-3 weeks over the summer. We pay during that time off, but ask you to match your vacations to be taken during the weeks we are gone.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, minimum of 30 hours a week. Generally 12:00 pm - 6:30 pm (can be flexible on which hours to work between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm), with periodic later evening hours. We are also looking for occasional overnights ($100/overnight + hourly rate for any additional working hours) and weekend help with advance notice.

Duties: Childcare; driving children to & from school/activities; homework supervision/help; grocery shopping; making lunches and snacks for kids; cooking dinner and/or meal prep (we can discuss a mutually agreeable meal planning routine); children's and parent's laundry; running errands (post office, dry cleaning, kid clothes, birthday party and household event prep, etc.); family calendar and activity management; household organization & tidying (both homes have weekly cleaning teams).

Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Current authorization to work full time in the U.S.
- Individual must be organized, communicative, and proactive
- Excellent references
- Ability to make minimum one-year commitment
- Positive discipline approach and ability to set boundaries
- Calm, honest and transparent

We are close-knit, collaborative, flexible and trusting co-parents to our two children, who split their time between our two households. Our family spends all holidays, sporting and school events together. We communicate multiple times daily and will do so with you as well. We both have demanding work schedules that sometimes require travel, and are looking for a trustworthy, kind and reliable presence to help support our family unit.
