After-School Sitter/Tutor — French Speaker and or Creative Writer (Violin a plus) @At Home

We're a Manhattan family searching for an exceptional after-school mentor for our curious, quick-witted 9-year-old-someone who sees the hours between the last school bell and dinner not as time to fill, but as time to invest. This is a role for a natural teacher: part tutor, part role model, part the kind of person a kid can't wait to see walk through the door.

What your afternoons would look like:

-A warm handoff at school pickup and a spirited walk to after-school activities. Bringing language and imagination to life-whether through living, breathing French conversation or storytelling, journaling, and creative writing that sparks our child's love of words

-Cheerful encouragement at the violin stand, turning daily practice into something to look forward to.

-Wholesome snacks, good company, and steady care until a parent is home

Who we're hoping to meet:

-Fluent in French and/or a gifted creative writer-strength in either is what we're looking for, and both is a delight
-A strong academic foundation and the patience to make reading click
-Reliable, warm, and genuinely engaged; prior childcare or tutoring experience preferred
-Any violin or music background is a wonderful bonus-please tell us if you have one
