Server and Bartender, Farm-to-Table Restaurant (Oakland, NJ) @Harvest and Ale

Harvest and Ale, a farm-to-table restaurant and bar in Oakland, NJ, is hiring a Server and Bartender. Our modern American menu is built on ingredients from more than a dozen partner farms, creameries, and mills across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, including Valley Shepherd Creamery, Goffle Farms, and Ronnybrook Dairy. You will help guests understand where their food comes from, recommend dishes and seasonal cocktails, and make every visit feel personal.

What you will do:

- Serve guests in the dining room and at the bar, from greeting to check
- Mix drinks from our seasonal cocktail menu and pour beer and wine to spec
- Learn our partner farms and seasonal menu well enough to tell their story at the table
- Recommend food and drink pairings that fit each guest
- Keep your section and the bar clean, stocked, and ready for service
- Work closely with the kitchen and floor team on busy nights

What you bring:

- Serving or bartending experience preferred; strong hospitality skills required
- Friendly, confident communication with guests
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced setting
- Interest in local food, craft beer, and seasonal cooking
- Availability for evening shifts Tuesday through Sunday, including late Friday and Saturday nights
