Active Caregiver for Stroke Survivor in SF @Desai Household

We are seeking a high-energy, proactive, and engagement-driven caregiver/rehab ally to support a dynamic individual in their 40s recovering from a stroke. Please note: This is not a passive companionship or traditional eldercare role.

This role is ideal for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA), Kinesiology/Exercise Science student, or a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for meaningful, hands-on neurological rehabilitation experience. Key Responsibilities
- Exercise Execution: Confidently guide, cue, and assist with daily home exercise programs (HEPs) designed by the primary Neuro-PT and OT teams.
- Community Integration: Assist with transfers, safety spotting, and accompanying the individual on active outdoor walks, gym visits, or community outings.
- ADL Rehabilitation: Support daily living activities including computer work using therapeutic strategies that promote maximum use of the affected side.

Relevant Experience: Prior experience working with stroke survivors, brain injuries, or orthopedic rehab is highly preferred.

Educational Background (Plus): Current students or graduates in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology, Nursing, or Sports Medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.

Physical Capability: Ability to safely assist with transfers, provide steady balance support, and keep up with an active, mobile schedule.

Requirements: Reliable transportation in SF, clean background check, CPR/First Aid certification, and up-to-date vaccinations.
